Cross to Luxor’s West Bank to visit the Valley of the Kings, the royal burial ground of many New Kingdom pharaohs. Continue to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, a remarkable terraced monument built against towering limestone cliffs. Learn about the queen’s reign and her achievements as one of ancient Egypt’s most influential rulers. Stop at the Colossi of Memnon, two enormous statues that once guarded the entrance to the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before visiting the Karnak Temple Complex on Luxor’s East Bank. Explore its monumental pylons, sacred lake, towering obelisks, and the impressive Great Hypostyle Hall, renowned for its massive decorated columns. After sightseeing, travel by private, air-conditioned vehicle from Luxor to Hurghada, a popular Red Sea resort famous for its beaches, coral reefs, and marine activities.
