Admire the colorful paintings and hieroglyphic inscriptions that reveal ancient Egyptian beliefs about the afterlife. * Temple of Queen Hatshepsut: Visit the impressive mortuary temple built into the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari. Discover its elegant terraces, monumental architecture and reliefs depicting the reign of one of ancient Egypt's most famous female rulers. * Colossi of Memnon: Stop to admire the two enormous statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III and take photographs of these iconic monuments. * Karnak Temple Complex: Explore one of the largest religious complexes ever built.
