Day-by-day programme

1. Day 1Arrival in Cairo

   Location:

   Cairo

   Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be welcomed by a representative who will assist you with airport formalities and luggage. You will then meet your tour guide and transfer by private air-conditioned vehicle to your hotel in Cairo for check-in and some time to relax.

2. Day 2Giza Pyramids – Grand Egyptian Museum – Egyptian Museum

   Location:

   Giza

   After breakfast at your hotel, meet your Egyptologist guide and begin exploring the highlights of ancient Egypt. * Giza Pyramids Complex: Visit the three famous pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, and learn about their construction, history, and significance. * Great Sphinx: Admire the iconic limestone statue with the body of a lion and the head of a pharaoh, and discover the stories surrounding this ancient monument. * Valley Temple: Explore the ancient structure associated with the funerary rituals of Pharaoh Khafre and the mummification process. * Grand Egyptian Museum: Discover an extensive collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts, monumental statues, and royal treasures, including the collection of Tutankhamun. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before continuing to the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square to explore its historic collection of Pharaonic antiquities. After the visits, return to your hotel in Cairo for an overnight stay.

3. Day 3Fly to Luxor – Karnak Temple – Luxor Temple – Nile Cruise

   Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before transferring to Cairo Airport for your domestic flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, meet your local Egyptologist guide and begin exploring the city's remarkable ancient monuments. * Karnak Temple Complex: Explore one of the largest religious complexes of the ancient world, featuring monumental gateways, colossal columns, sacred precincts, and impressive statues dedicated primarily to Amun-Ra. * Nile Cruise Check-in: Transfer to your deluxe Nile cruise ship, check in, and enjoy lunch on board. * Luxor Temple: In the evening, visit Luxor Temple and admire its impressive columns, statues, and ancient architecture. Discover its connection to Egyptian kingship and the Opet Festival. Return to the cruise ship for dinner and an overnight stay on board.

4. Day 4Luxor West Bank – Valley of the Kings – Hatshepsut Temple

   Location:

   Luxor

   After breakfast on board, explore the West Bank of Luxor, home to some of ancient Egypt's most remarkable royal monuments. * Valley of the Kings: Discover the royal burial ground of New Kingdom pharaohs and explore the beautifully decorated tombs, subject to the site's admission rules. * Colossi of Memnon: Stop for photographs beside the two enormous statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III. * Temple of Queen Hatshepsut: Visit the impressive terraced mortuary temple built against the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari and learn about the life and reign of one of Egypt's most influential female pharaohs. Return to the cruise ship for lunch as the vessel begins sailing toward Edfu. Spend the evening relaxing on board and enjoy dinner while the ship remains in the Edfu area.

5. Day 5Edfu Temple – Kom Ombo Temple – Sailing to Aswan

   Location:

   Edfu & Kom Ombo

   Enjoy breakfast on board before joining your guide for a visit to Edfu Temple. * Edfu Temple: Explore the remarkably well-preserved Ptolemaic temple dedicated to Horus, the falcon-headed god. Admire its monumental entrance, inscriptions, courtyards, and sanctuary. * Sailing to Kom Ombo: Return to the cruise ship for lunch and continue sailing along the Nile. * Kom Ombo Temple: Visit the unique double temple dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus. Discover its symmetrical design and reliefs depicting ancient religious practices and medical instruments. After the visit, return to the ship and continue sailing toward Aswan. 6. Day 6Abu Simbel Temples Excursion

   Abu Simbel

   Depart early in the morning with a breakfast box for a private overland excursion to Abu Simbel in a modern air-conditioned vehicle. * Great Temple of Ramses II: Explore the monumental rock-cut temple famous for its four colossal seated statues of the pharaoh. * Temple of Queen Nefertari: Visit the nearby temple dedicated to Queen Nefertari and associated with the goddess Hathor. Learn about the temples' historical significance, their remarkable construction, and the international operation that relocated them to protect them from the rising waters of Lake Nasser. After completing the excursion, return to Aswan and board your Nile cruise. Enjoy lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner on board, followed by an overnight stay.

7. Day 7Aswan High Dam – Philae Temple – Flight to Cairo

   After breakfast at your Cairo hotel, depart for a full-day excursion to Fayoum, a region known for its natural scenery, agricultural landscapes, and traditional villages. * Lake Qarun: Visit one of Egypt's best-known natural lakes, admire the surrounding landscapes, and observe local fishing activities. * Fayoum Waterwheels: Discover the traditional wooden waterwheels that have long helped distribute water to the region's agricultural lands. Learn about their importance to Fayoum's rural heritage. * Wadi El Rayan Waterfalls: Continue to the protected Wadi El Rayan area, where water flows between the upper and lower lakes to create Egypt's distinctive desert waterfalls.
