Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be welcomed by our representative and assisted with the arrival formalities. Transfer by private, air-conditioned vehicle to your hotel in Cairo. Check in at your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
After breakfast, meet your private Egyptologist guide and begin your exploration of the wonders of ancient Egypt. Visit the Giza Plateau, home to the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure. Learn about the construction, history, and significance of these extraordinary monuments. Continue to the Great Sphinx, the iconic statue with a lion's body and a pharaoh's head, which has guarded the Giza Plateau for thousands of years. Later, visit the Grand Egyptian Museum to discover its remarkable collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts, monumental statues, and royal treasures. After the tour, transfer back to your hotel.
After breakfast, enjoy a second day exploring Cairo with your private guide. The day's sightseeing can be tailored to your interests, allowing you to discover more of the city's historical, cultural, and religious landmarks. You may choose to explore historic Islamic Cairo, visit the bustling Khan El Khalili Bazaar, or discover important Coptic Christian sites and ancient churches. At the end of the tour, return to your hotel.
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, meet your private Egyptologist guide and begin your exploration of the ancient city of Thebes. Visit Karnak Temple, one of the largest religious complexes ever constructed. Explore its impressive Hypostyle Hall, towering columns, monumental gateways, and sacred precincts, while learning about the pharaohs who contributed to its construction over many centuries. In the afternoon, proceed to your traditional dahabiya sailing boat, a charming, elegant vessel designed for a more intimate and peaceful Nile cruise experience. Check in, settle into your cabin, and enjoy the atmosphere on board as you prepare for your journey along the Nile.
Enjoy breakfast on board as your dahabiya begins its leisurely journey along the Nile. Unlike larger cruise ships, the dahabiya offers a slower, more intimate experience, allowing you to appreciate the river's natural beauty, traditional villages, palm groves, and fertile agricultural landscapes. Along the way, enjoy stops at small river islands and less-visited historical sites, depending on the sailing route and conditions. Spend time relaxing on the sun deck, observing everyday life along the river, and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of the Nile Valley.
After breakfast, continue sailing south toward Aswan, enjoying the changing landscapes and picturesque scenery along the river. During the day, visit historical temples at the scheduled stops, accompanied by your guide, who will explain the religious beliefs, architectural features, and historical significance of the ancient monuments. Between visits, relax on board and enjoy the facilities of your dahabiya while the crew takes care of your comfort. All meals are served on board according to the cruise arrangements.
Wake up to the peaceful scenery of the Nile and enjoy breakfast on board. Continue your journey through Upper Egypt, with guided visits to temples along the route. The sailing itinerary passes through the historic Nile corridor associated with destinations such as Edfu and Kom Ombo, depending on the confirmed cruise schedule. Discover the fascinating stories of ancient Egyptian gods, pharaohs, and temple rituals while enjoying a more relaxed alternative to the larger Nile cruise experience. Spend the remainder of the day relaxing on the boat and enjoying the river views.
Enjoy your final full day aboard the dahabiya as you continue toward Aswan. Take in the scenery of the Nile Valley, with its green riverbanks, traditional settlements, and peaceful landscapes. Depending on the confirmed sailing schedule, enjoy additional guided temple visits at the planned stops. Spend time on the sun deck and savor the onboard dining experience before preparing for your arrival in Aswan.
After breakfast, disembark in Aswan and meet your private Egyptologist guide. Visit Philae Temple, one of the most beautiful temples in southern Egypt, dedicated to the goddess Isis. Located on an island, the temple is renowned for its elegant columns, reliefs, and remarkable history. Learn how the complex was relocated to protect it from the rising waters following the construction of the Aswan High Dam. After the visit, transfer to Aswan Airport for your domestic flight to Cairo. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel, subject to your flight schedule. At the appropriate time, transfer by private, air-conditioned vehicle to Cairo International Airport for your final departure.
Send a booking request with your dates and we confirm availability and the final price, usually within 24 hours. Multi-day trips and cruises need a 50% deposit to confirm, with the balance due before you travel. Day tours and shore excursions are paid in full when you book.
Changes are usually possible, depending on how close to the date you ask and on hotel and cruise rules. Refunds follow our cancellation policy, which you will see before you pay.
